Re-Creating a Famous Photo

Re-creating a famous photo refers to the process of making a new version of a well-known and recognizable photograph. This can be done to pay homage to the original image, to challenge one's artistic skills, or for a variety of other reasons. The re-creation may be made in a different medium or style, and may include changes to elements such as composition, lighting, and color. The goal is often to capture the essence of the original image while putting a unique spin on it.

I decided to re-create Adele cover album. She is a great singer and the album was a great success during the year it came out.

Some visual elements that I had to prepare before taking a photograph were the space, color, and texture. The location to take this picture had to be light and dark at the same time because the light had to come from a specific side. The color and texture were critical visual elements; it had to wear black color to ger the photo as similar as possible to the original.

I did imitate the original photograph by using a similar makeup, clothes, and hair. The edition was also an essential part of this recreation; I had to edit the photo to black and white and adjust some settings such as exposition and shadow.

The critical thing that I learned from this photograph that I can use to make my work better is to plan the photo. That means to have in mind the clothes to use, the place, and the pose so when you have to shoot, everything is ready, and the photo takes just a few minutes to shoot.
